TUBE BENDER WITH CAULKING STATION AND GAGE WITH PART
This is a dedicated pneumatic machine with a rotary load system. The machine on the left is a caulk machine. The caulker takes tubes from the dedicated machine and attaches a metal clip around the diameter of the tube. The metal clip fastens the tube to the automobile.
* Contains an operator interface.

This is an example of the complexity of tubing S & H can build.
The tube size shown here is a 10mm tube. Gauges like this one are provided by the customer and are used during the build to verify the design as the bends are being set by our builders.

TRANSFER UNIT
This picture displays a transfer unit. The grippers at the bottom portion act as mechanical hands to pick the part from the machine. It then works with raceway to travel across the top of the machine on a steel rail to release the part on a rail. The part falls down the rail to a sensor to identify completion for an operator. The operator can then take the part to an assembly station to assembly in a 'cluster' several tubes from several different machines in the same work cell.

LEAK TEST ASSEMBLY STATION
This picture shows a 'leak test' / assembly station for tubing. Once the tubing is bent to required shape it is placed in the assembly station. The small panel at the top of the photo shows a control box with small green indicator lights. These lights are wired to sensors to ensure the tube is properly placed in the fixture. This minimizes operator errors. The green bins contain clips (supplied by the customer) that need to be placed on the tube.

S & H uses hold down toggles to snap the clips once all the sensors are shown. Once the assembly is complete the operator presses a momentary push button station to actuate the air testing. This will verify the integrity of the tube post bending and clipping. The operator will receive a pass or fail for each assembly. |

TUBE BENDER IN PROCESS
This bender shows a large tube bender in process. The (5) five vertical steel pieces of angle iron have long stroke cylinders attached to lift the part into the machine. Directly in front of the machine is a conveyor system that aides in travel to the lift cylinders.
